Devils have a lot of cap...give him a 2 year deal at $4-5 mil per. That's less then what we were paying Elias and I think this guy will be much more productive (not that's saying much with what Elias brought team past 2 years).

I can't believe teams are still willing to sign this guy after his last couple of stints in the NHL.

Onto a completely different topic, wonder if Shero would attempt to move up in the draft. Hearing Edmonton is not against trading that 4th pick. I for one would be interested to see if a deal could be made but at the same time wouldn't be too upset if not. Pretty deep draft and there are at least 3 or 4 guys I wouldn't mind seeing New Jersey take at 11. Considering that 4th pick would cost us one of Larsson or Severson, I'd be hesitant to pull the trigger if I were Shero. Should be an interesting summer, changes are coming!

How much do you think it would take to flip picks with the Oilers? Our 1st + one of Santini, Jacobs, or Severson + a 2nd and probably more?

Too much.

#4 plus one of our D prospects for #11 and Severson I would do in a heartbeat.

Really hope Shero doesn't trade Severson. Kids gonna be a stud.

(frank) Radulov. Devils are building a nice young core and Comrade Pissy Pants would just blow the place up.

Agreed; which is why I wouldn't trade up if it were me.

With the 11th we have a great chance for Keller or Jost. So I personally don't see much reason to trade up cause I would be thrilled with either of these 2 guys

The only way Shero should even consider moving Severson in a trade with Edmonton is if the Oilers overpay. The Devils can still land a very good player with the 11th pick, no need to ship off a young offensive defensman who still has yet to even hit his ceiling. Has anybody watched any of Albanys games thus far? Severson looks like he's on a different level right now as compared to half these kids he's on the ice with and rightfully so. Hopefully Albany can go on a deeper run, at the very least take the Marlies the distance, and Severson continues to impress.

Devils aren't in a position to trade a defenseman.

Yeah, that's the guy they're gonna have him play with!

Speaking of, wasn't # 17 supposed to have showed up by now?

There are no quality UFAs the Devils could target that would offer as much possible upside in scoring. Maybe Okposo but don't see him signing less then a 4-5 year deal. 2 year deal for Radolov is prefect in that he'll have to play hard in his 2nd year if he wants to get signed to another lucrative contract. Also if devils don't make playoffs in his 2nd year they can trade him for picks.
Guess some of u were happy being one of lowest score teams in the league yet again. So much so that u don't want to chance it on a proven point producer.

High risk high reward. Don't think he ends up here though.

The thought of us pursuing Radulov never even crossed my mind. We will pick up a scorer off the market this year, pull off a draft day trade, and add a nice future piece to the puzzle through the draft. That's it, that's all.
